Important Update: Downtown Whiteville Christmas Extravaganza

Due to the upcoming weather forecast, the Christmas Parade/Extravaganza — originally scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025 — has been rescheduled to Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

We would love for all current applicants to join us on the new date. However, if you have already submitted payment and cannot participate on the 14th, no worries! We will gladly apply your payment towards next year’s parade. If you have not registered, you now have until Friday, December 12, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. to apply at City Hall. Please remember that refunds will not be issued, but your spot for next year will be saved with plenty of holiday cheer.

December is a magical (and busy!) time for families across our county. After exploring several options, we have chosen the date that allows the most people to enjoy the festivities. Because the new parade date falls on a school night, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. But don’t worry — next year will shine even brighter!

We will still have vendors set up before and during the parade around Vineland Station, and we encourage you to shop with them.

Restrooms will also be available at Vineland Station.

The Tree and Sleigh will remain lit — so be sure to snap lots of festive photos!

Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and flexibility. Let’s come together on Sunday, December 14th, as downtown Whiteville transforms into a real-life Hallmark movie. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you!
